I have seen the district from all sides. My oldest graduated top 10 at Stillwater, I have a junior in high school, and my youngest just started first grade (top 10 on his t-ball team in my opinion). We have been a part of summer programs, AP tests, dealt with bussing, drop off, PSEO, the GATE program, college admissions, band, orchestra, part-time jobs, and all seasons of sports.

I have attended the breadth of post-secondary education. I attended VOTECH, played football at Augsburg College, graduated from Normandale Community College with an AA degree, then transferred to the U of M, and 10 years later went back and got my master’s degree. I also went to truck driving school!

I am already very active in the district. Currently, I serve our students and community as a volunteer at Afton Lakeland Elementary and as the Treasurer for Afton Lakeland PTA. I have also coached many of my kids’ teams from T-ball to VAA Soccer to girls LAX to traveling basketball- consistently coaching about excellence, kindness, and fun.

As an investor and advisor, I guide the C-suite and senior leaders in large organizations. I focus on large scale operational transformations and strategy studies. Each engagement starts with creating and refining a framework to help think through the key factors, then listening and seeking to understand is the focus. This is the most important step in my process. Learning and meeting with stakeholders and the community is also my favorite part of serving these organizations.
